PASTOR

Jeremy was ordained to gospel ministry by the First Baptist Church of Eclectic, AL in 2011. He holds a Bachelor's in Christian Studies from the University of Mobile ('09) and a Master's of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School ('17). He grew up just outside of Sylacauga in the small community of Fayetteville, where he and his wife LaShelia both graduated from high school. Before coming to Mignon in June of 2024, Jeremy served in various capacities as an associate minister, mostly leading worship and family ministry. Jeremy is passionate about proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ from all of Scripture, so that all who hear the good news of God's redemption will grow to be mature in Christ (Colossians 1:28). Jeremy enjoys many hobbies but basically anything that allows him to be with his family. He and LaShelia have two children, Avery and Analeigh. 

MINISTRY ASSISTANT

Karen grew up as a pastor's daughter and has lived in many places, but she is a native and long-time resident of Sylacauga. She began serving as Mignon's ministry assistant in 2020, overseeing all day-to-day operations of the church. Karen brings the same level of precision and thoroughness to serving the church as she did for over 40 years as a registered nurse. She also sings on the praise team and volunteers in the nursery. When she is not serving at the church, Karen enjoys reading, watching TV, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
